Venice, Italy.

How can I start to describe you the magic I felt being in Venice, Italy. it is the most wonderful city I have ever been to. So much silence, so much peace, so much culture and life... it is an open museum! it is a priviledge to live there and be part of a city that lives its life the same way our ancestors did so many centuries ago.
I had the honor to be invited to perform in Venice on June 20, 2008 to commemorate the world refugee day. As a daughter of refugees my self, I was honored to be singing and sharing my music with many refugees from diferent countries and to the people who help them survive and work in a diferent culture.
Thank you to the city of Venice and to Claudia, Ivan and the rest of their crew for making this dream, possible!!

Enchanted New Mexico!

The first time we went to New Mexico to perform was on 2005 to participate at the Globalquerque music festival. There we met wonderful people and shared the stage with amazing musicians of all origins. A year later we traveled again to New Mexico but this time, we could travel for 10 days to diferent towns and we could really feel why the state is call "the enchanted land". Every town was magical. I felt the energy, the love and the diference of their people from the rest of the country. I felt, somehow, at home.
After we spent ten days with some of the members of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, we are now, close friends, so to see them again it was a blessing.
We went to perform again at the Globalquerque 2007 festival, sharing the night with other great artists and seeing friends... the concert was incredible, from the first song I felt as if I knew everybody at the audience, it is hard to explain how you feel singing with such as beautiful energy comming from outside the stage. it was truly, a magical evening and I can not wait to go back very soon!

Cosquin festival in Argentina!

Ok, so there I was, in front of ten thousand people on January 27, 2006 closing the night of the Cosquin festival in Cordoba, Argentina, one of the most important folk festivals in South America.
I have no words to describe how nervous I was. but at the same time so excited to sing my songs in such a important festival that was also being shown on national tv.
Finally the words came out, "I come from a land filled with heart and goodwill..." and suddenly it was over. people clapped while I could still hear the echo of my last word... it was such an amazing feeling!
Thanks to the people who went to the festival, to those who visit this webpage because of that show and also, to the others, who stayed awake all night to whatch us on TV!!
